Greetings,
We, Vidya Vikas Education Society is a registered Educational Trust, has been imparting higher quality, affordable and accessible education for transforming studentтАЩs lives across all our schools and colleges in Mumbai, rural areas of Vangani (Taluka Ambarnath, District Thane) and Redi (Taluka Vengurla, District Sindhudurg), Maharashtra since the year 1962.
Our institution in Mumbai is situated in Kannamwar Nagar, Vikhroli East, Mumbai which is a colony of industrial workers and slum-dwellers.
Our students are from economically and socially disadvantaged families, many living in and around the downtrodden areas and rural regions of Maharashtra. The majority of our students are the children (first generation learners) of slum dwellers, daily workers, house maids and people doing odd jobs.
We are aware that besides giving individuals upliftment, education also gives communities empowerment hence we are working relentlessly to resolve the day-to-day hurdles for our students to make their learning experience smooth.
Education is one of the most powerful tools for social transformation. It is a fundamental right, yet many children from economically weaker communities from rural and remote areas face significant barriers in accessing schools and educational facilities.
Our institution is dedicated to transforming lives through quality education, community development, and socially impactful initiatives aligned with Corporate Social Responsibility goals. Through our CSR-driven programs by Corporates and NGOs, we focus on empowering underserved and underprivileged students, promoting digital literacy, enhancing skill development, supporting women empowerment, improving rural education infrastructure, organizing health and environmental awareness campaigns, and creating sustainable community outreach initiatives to add on to their educational growth.
We are not a monetarily rich institution to provide financial concession, yet we offer affordable education at a very subsidised fee almost to majority of our students as well as free education to many students as they belong to the low-income working class underprivileged backgrounds of various strata of the community.
We are committed to creating a positive impact beyond academics through meaningful community engagement and sustainable development initiatives. We pledge to work to create a better society for students.
While we strive to offer a nurturing learning environment, we as educators are looking for continuous development for the betterment of our students to provide them with unequalled quality education and facilities to enhance their capabilities as the upcoming generation of the world. However, Vidya Vikas Education Society is facing challenges to sustain the expenses and balance the annual deficits with limited resources and high demands. We strongly believe that the Education Field is not a profit-making commercial field. We admit, we lack in collection of extraneous fees from students/parents for capital expenses. Financial constraint is a major factor of limitation to expand the coverage of our activities.

Factual background-
Over 40% of CSR funds in India are directed toward education and associated infrastructure, making it a highly supported sector for corporate funding. Despite some progress, the last UDISE+ report highlights serious gaps in access and infrastructure readiness.
In India, Education is the top recipient of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds, accounting for approximately 44% of total annual expenditure (over тВ╣13,200 crore). Under Schedule VII of the Companies Act 2013, infrastructure development for schoolsтАФincluding classrooms, libraries, and sanitationтАФis a priority area for eligible corporations.
Many schools in villages have simply been set up in small structures with limited facilities creating insufficient space for students with the result that different grades share the same classroom.
However, beyond this, many rural schools also lack basic needs such as well-ventilated classrooms, adequate sanitation, and essential learning aids. These deprivations keep away children's educational outcomes and perpetuate poverty pockets.
Requirements at VVES and its various schools-
We are looking for CSR funding from Corporates for below projects across all our schools-
- Building well-ventilated classrooms or Renovating existing classrooms that shelter students from adverse weather conditions and creating a healthy learning environment.
- Construction of a new cultural hall for extracurricular activities in our rural schools.
- Installing digital learning systems. Smart classrooms, smart TV, digital boards, tablets, laptops, computers, projector and internet connectivity etc.
- Procuring learning materials.
- Help students to pay their academic fees.
- Creating Scholarships and Financial Support Systems.
- School Bus in rural areas.
- Solar Energy Power Projects for clean energy and sustainable development goal.
- Renovating drinking water areas.
