                                                 History of Vikas Computer Education (Main Bldg)

Vikas Computer Education (V.C.E.) was established on October 13, 1996, inspired by the vision of Hon. Secretary Dr. Vinay Raut Sir. The foundation and growth of V.C.E. were supported by dedicated colleagues including Shri Kishore Jain, Shri Shailesh Pitale,   Shri Pramod Chavan, and Mrs. Praveena Khamkar.

In the late 1990s, V.C.E. played a pioneering role in bringing quality computer education to socially and economically disadvantaged students, offering them access to modern computer facilities and expert trainers. By 1998-99, under the guidance of Late Hon. Chairman P.M. Raut Sir, professional computer courses were made affordable and accessible to the middle-class community.

Over the years, V.C.E. has empowered countless students and professionals, many of them have gone to build successful careers. The institute also provided computer literacy to government employees and senior citizens, helping bridge the digital divide across age groups.

Since 2000, V.C.E. has been offering Information Technology education at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Vidyalaya, further expanding its educational outreach. Recognizing the growing importance of computer literacy, Vikas High School launched Marathi Secondary Technical and Semi-English classes with computer as a core subject. Subsequently, computer education was introduced to the students of both Vikas High School English Primary and Vikas High School Marathi Primary sections.
